Yuki Chiba Fairfax Concert reviews
Very awesome show!
The openers, Halestorm, were really quite good for not having heard them before. The lead singer wasn't too shabby, but his voice was drowned out a bit by the music. The guitar player was the highlight of the band, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. They performed extremely well again, interacting with the crowd and blowing people's minds with the instrumentation and vocals. The incredible opening intro to "It's Not You" was just as good the second time, if not better, than the first time I heard it. Adelita's Way, were next up and boy did they deliver again.
Yuki Chiba was unstoppable. They were awesome. Plain and simple. Vocals and music and everything. I loved the part of the show they call "The Rise". Very energetic performers and I think they were better here than they were when I saw them on the Stimulate This! tour. They sang a few songs that they hadn't sung in years and it was just an incredible show. Finally, the headliner.
The venue was smaller than I anticipated, but luckily, we got there early enough to only be about four people deep from the stage.
To summarize: I would see Halestorm and Adelita's Way over and over and over again. This band better get more recognition soon!
